Captain Katje Graywood grew up the only child of a single mother. As a result, she learned to hunt, farm, and fend for herself at an early age. She learned to stay quiet, meek and humble, choosing to observe others but never participate. She felt at home in the woods, more alive than she ever did in the company of her fellow humans.

Late in her years, Katje heard the call to arms in Olaran and knew she must go. She found her calling among the forest soldiers - the Rangers. After years of dedicated service, and due in some part to her natural skills with the bow, she has claimed her title as Second in Command of the Rangers of Olaran.
