Bryce O’Reyne

King of Olaran

Bryce O'Reyne, the youngest son of King Osiric the Wise of House O'Reyne, had a mysterious and troubled beginning. His birth was kept secret, leaving Bryce unsure of his origins. Fate intervened when Stefen Blackmore, a humble blacksmith, took him in as an infant. Stefen raised Bryce as his own and told him he was his son. Bryce grew up believing he was a Blackmore.

Tragedy struck when Bryce was seventeen, as Stefen fell victim to a brutal bandit attack near the Mines of Murnock. The loss of his adoptive father fueled Bryce's resolve to protect the people of Olaran. Guided by a strong sense of justice, he joined the ranks of the esteemed Rangers.
Bryce's life took an unexpected turn during the Autumn Feast, when it was revealed that he was the illegitimate son of King Osiric. This revelation led to his appointment as a squire to the renowned knight Sir Gareyth, a pivotal step on his path to becoming a Kingsman. Determined to discover his destiny, Bryce set out on a perilous quest for the legendary Sword of Hope, an artifact said to have the power to unite the realms.

During an uneasy truce between the factions of Olaran, the royal alchemist Ramon Abelard proclaimed that Bryce was not only the king's son but also the rightful heir to the throne. After the High Priest of Luminos absolved him of his oath as a Kingsmen, Bryce was crowned King of Olaran. Despite the raging civil war tearing the realm apart, Bryce hopes to reunite the fractured lands under a single banner, just as his forefathers did long ago. Guided by Luminos, he strives to restore peace and stability to a realm torn apart by strife.
